1946 FORD SUPER DELUXE TUDOR

With the USA participating in World War II in 1942, Ford, like all automobile factories, stopped automobile production and turned to the war industry. Some cars manufactured during the war were allocated to the army, and at the same time, jeep production for the army began. During the war, Ford factories manufactured aircraft for the Air Force, cruisers for the Navy, jeeps and tanks for the Army, personnel carriers, and a large number of trucks for all three. After the war, the first Fords began to appear on the market in 1946, and in this sense, the 1946 Model Ford Super Deluxe Tudor was one of the first examples.

1955 MERCEDES SL 300 GULLWING ( GULLWING )

It took time for Mercedes Benz, which dominated the race tracks before World War II, to recover after the war like the entire German industry. However, by the early 50s, it developed a racing car again. The engine of the 300 SLR, which participated in races and succeeded in 1952, was strengthened further, and after its body was manufactured from steel instead of alloy, it was introduced to the public in 1954 under the name 300 SL at the New York Motor Show and gained great acclaim. The 'Gull Wing' doors attached to hinges from the upward-opening roof seemed very different and foreign to everyone at first. Thereupon, a cabrio model with normal doors and an openable top was made in 1957. Production lasted until 1963, and 1400 of the coupe and 1858 of the cabriolet were manufactured and sold. The vehicle, considered one of the rarest models of Mercedes, was called 'Gull Wing' due to its upward-opening doors.

Corvette was completely changed in design and engine in the 60s and became a wild racing car. In 1963, its front design was also renewed and Sting Ray appeared. That year, the rear suspension changed and became independent. Duntov's 327 cu in fuel-injected engine was already giving 360 horsepower, and it was improved to 375. Larger engines also became mountable. For example, in 1967, by installing a 427 cu in 425hp engine, it became a complete 'muscle car'. This car, manufactured between 63 and 67, is considered one of Corvette's most beautiful designs.

1969 MERCEDES BENZ 230/280 SL ( PAGODA )

Daimler Benz engineers were given 3 basic parameters for the design of the new model to succeed the 190 SL. Accordingly, the new car was requested to be cooler, more comfortable and spacious, and thirdly, to be as compatible as possible with all spare parts used in saloon models. To satisfy this third condition and create a beautiful body, engineers had to push their imagination within certain limits and work hard. As a result of these efforts, a very beautiful car was born. After the 230 SL model, the 280 SL was produced. This car, with its 2778 cc 170 horsepower engine, was the last car of the W 113 chassis series for Mercedes. A five-speed manual transmission was offered as standard in this car, and exactly 23,885 units came off the production line. Immortalized as one of the most successful models ever in automobile history, the SL is still an icon today as a sports car, just as it was in those years.

Although it is not as miraculous as its elder brother W113 in terms of design, it has already joined the legendary models with its ability to add muscular sportsmanship next to its elegant lines.
