Among our longings for the past, our automobiles definitely hold an important place. These beautiful vehicles, which have been the most important part of our lives for over a century, have sometimes been a good friend as a simple means of transportation, a good companion in our lonely journeys, and even our confidant from time to time...

Our new friends, who appeared in the early 20th century, met our needs at first, but by the 50s and 60s, they appealed to our visual taste by steering our emotions, forming a part of our character, and caring about image by almost shouting our lifestyle... The design mastery and aesthetics that appeared in some European but especially American cars, together with the heavily added chrome accessories, turned automobiles into a visual feast... Those among these cars that captured a globally accepted standard of perfection in the years they were manufactured are crowned with the name Classic Car over time, not just as an ordinary car but with all the features they possess...

The most valuable classic cars that are actually based and globally accepted are the famous brands manufactured between 1925 and 1945, represented by majestic radiators, long engine hoods, and fenders extending in long curves. Famous ones like Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Bugatti, and Mercedes-Benz are in this class. In the following years, it was seen that many 1950s, 1960s, and 70s European and American cars joined this magnificent class, and thanks to this, the concept of classic car expanded.

However, with this expansion, not every car can be counted in the classic class just because it belongs to those years... For example, we remember from our childhood that some of the later-extended types of these cars served as taxis and shared taxis in our big cities (especially Istanbul) in the old years. Unfortunately, not all of them are models that have gained a permanent value and entered among classic cars. For example, not all Chevrolets, Fords, Chryslers, or Mercedes are considered classics. But among the 50s models of a Ford, the Thunderbird, Victoria Sunliner, and the 60s Mustang cars have a proven classic value. Again, the limited edition Eldorado series of a famous luxury brand like Cadillac has always carried great value. Chevrolet's Corvette series and all soft-top sports models after the 1955 model have become classics... We can also add to this list almost all coupe and cabriolet models introduced by Mercedes after the 50s...

Why usually American cars? The answer to this question is hidden in the American style that leaves a legacy of automobiles that combine durability, quality, and a structure that does not wear out over time with aesthetics, thus making restoration possible at all times and under all conditions... I think we can understand this very well when we see the 'road boats' of the Rock'n Roll era, painted in dual colors and blowing their winged rear fenders with their growling eight-cylinder engines...

After a well-done restoration, these cars ensure that everyone's eyes are on them when they hit the road because they are solid, safe, comfortable, showy, rare, and special... While this interest pleases the owner, knowing that the car witnessed an era, perhaps the feeling of having the memory of childhood or youth years again, and that its number is measured in double digits, is also a source of pride.

That is why classic cars are indispensable.
